Originally intented as X-mas ale Yellow, luxurious thick head over dark red-brown beer. Little sourish nose, cream-coffee, sweet and a lot of alcohol plus lots of fusels. Sweet-bitterish taste, fairly burned, burnt malts. Alcohol remaining hidden under all the roast. Ending slightly on lactic acid. Retronasal soft cheese/blue cheese. Sharp burning MF. Fusels coming out again, alcoholwarming. I "fear" a little infection, but it comes out actually very inviting. I like this beer!

Hazy grain colour, small if any head. Perfumey, garden herbs, bit of EU hops. Sweetish, restrained spiciness in the taste. Alcohol gradually building up, but I’m still waiting for that bitterness explosion. Medium bodied, well-attenuated, alcoholwarming; I wonder, why they refer to Duvel. It’s really nothing like it, with the possible exception of a dry masking of the alcohol.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, deep golden with a white head. Fresh and very fruity nose with lots of banana and yeast. Full-bodied. lots of sweet malt and fruit, and a whiff of yeast and diacetyl before a dry finish. Quite lovely actually. 080707

Is there a future for "Export" then? It would seem so as this is the second new one to appear. Fluffy, snowwhite head, reasonably dense over metallic golden beer. Pure malt, this, golden warm malt before going into the gristmill, even some chaff. Sweet, very malty, and a little extra taste of - what: the fat for hot dogs? Strange, a bit medicinal, but not invading. I suspect fatty acids. Nearly medium bodied, slick, even a bit oily. Fatty acids? In a bottom-fermenting beer? Ovey, the taste is OK.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear, orangey brown close to mahogany. Nice and lasting beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. A fairly solid and vinous body with some notes of dried fruit and lots of roasted malt and some port. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. Quite delicate really. 041106
