26 September 2019. At Cretan Gastronomy Days, Heraklion, Crete. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy dark brown-blackish with a lasting, thin, foamy, beige head. Aroma of brown bread, toast, mocha, walnut shell, biscuit, rye, earth, dried leaves. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, quite 'brown' bready with a nutty & soft biscuity edge; bitter notes of toast, mocha & earthy, subtle sourish fruity touch in the back. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, thoroughly bready & toasty, some coffee & a herbal effect too. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Really enjoyed this one, inviting, tasty & quite full at a mere 4.8%.

26 September 2019. At Cretan Gastronomy Days, Heraklion, Crete. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy dark orange with a lasting, thick, foamy, off-white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of biscuit, peanuts, orange peel, mango, pink grapefruit, red apple, pine needle. Taste is light fruity sweet, hinting at apple & mango, stronger notes of biscuity, bready & nutty maltiness; subtle piney & fruity hoppiness underneath, sourish accent. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lingering biscuit, orange & mango. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Sufficiently bitter in the end but perhaps a tad more malt-sided in general. Tasty & authentic APA.

26 September 2019. At Cretan Gastronomy Days, Heraklion, Crete. Shared with the lovely Anke! The blonde Ale by a relatively new microbrewery (perhaps even nanobrewery) in Crete. Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, freshly cut yellow apple, white bread, apricot, clove. Taste is light to medium fruity sweet, notes of banana, apple & pear, all in all quite estery over a thick bready malty base, a bit (wheaty) sour, a bit yeasty, with soft bitter spices underneath. Dryish, faintly grassy hoppy finish, spices, bread & (estery) yeast lingering but balanced. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Slick & refreshing Blonde Ale, pretty 'standard' but well-made, promising as a start.

25 September 2019. At Crop, Heraklion. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours clear amber-reddish with a lasting, thin, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of red apple, raisin, brioche, pistachio, redcurrant, candied orange peel. Taste is light fruity sweet, apple & pear, faint banana on thick bready & brioche-like maltiness, nutty edge, bitter herbal note of tea, vague sour redcurrant. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, bitter pink grapefruit, some pine, retronasal whiff of bread. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice, feels very 'red' throughout with a good hoppy aftertaste.
