Can from Jow, undated, drunk 11/19/24. Thanks, Jow! Dull/muted, dark brass. Very carbonated with a large, rocky, white head showing pretty strong retention. Wood, paper, bit of weird phenol/random yeast. Apple juice? Not much in the way of beer, let alone a decent IPA. Papery, thin, appley, dull. Some malt presence but it's rather scant. Some light grapefruit brightness is the only interesting, well-done thing here. Bit dirty, lots of dull sediment. Slight sourish finish.

Can/Fest. A- Coffee, earthy, robust. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Coffee, earthy, roasty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- An abundant amount of coffee. This is much better than I expected it to be. Could use some sweetness, but overall, the coffee is rich and robust and balanced.

Very hazy and deep golden and lightly amber coloured body with a nice thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of lactose, cream, light wheat and grassy notes and a touch of perfume even on the end with some alcohol in the scent as well. Medium-bodied; Very rich malty and creamy notes show at first with lactose here of course with some light chocolate elements as well and a dash of oranges as well that actually come out in the taste and some alcohol astringency as well at the very end. Aftertaste is pretty rich, even for the style with a lot of malt and chocolate notes towards the finish with some astringency from the alcohol and a lot of residual sugars from the lactose here. Overall, a pretty nice beer and very representative of the 'style' here with a good creamy, chocolatey flavoured beer without it being dark at all! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Hy-Vee in Papillion, Nebraska on 26-August-2021 for US$2,21 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-May-2022.
