Description
Werk Force Brewing is driven by a true passion for craft beer and community. With a foundation in homebrewing, we strive to produce unique batches created by outside-of-the-box thinking. Utilizing the extensive ingredient selection available at our sister brewing supply store, Chicago Brew Werks, our brews stay on the cusp of the industry by brewing with experimental hops and yeast strains. Werk Force brews are available in house through our Tap Room and select accounts throughout Chicagoland.

Tap at Werk Force. A true NZ Pale Ale, not a hazy Pale. Great hop combination...Nectaron, Motorola, NZ Cascade. Tropical seaside, a little bit of Italian Pils in there underneath. Medium bodied, enjoyable.

Tap at Werk Force. Big oak, lesser rye. Yeast is under control, not too perfumy or astringent. Oak centered, which is nice. Smooth and sweet.

Rating the 2023 version, aged in Buffalo Trace barrels. Very decent chocolate nose. Also getting that matches and Graham cracker just from the first sniff. Taste is more of the same, like a chocolate pie with marshmallow topping. Chocolate parfait fluff with graham cracker crust all the way down.

Taster from bottle at Rotary Grove Fest Beer Garden, Downers Grove, 6/25. Suitably black and viscous in my small sample glass. I'm spelling both chocolate and vanilla, which is not always an easy thing to accomplish. Taste is also full of both chocolate and vanilla. Thick mouthfeel with whiskey notes. Wonderfully done BBA stout. What more can you ask for?

Tiny taster at Prestige, probably more than enough. Big whiskey on the nose. Deep black pour with a thin ring of foam. Taste is sweet and bourbony, like a dessert. Its mouthfeel remains surprisingly light, with little viscous character.

On tap at DRBT 10. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is vanilla, roast, cocoa, wood. Slick body, roasted malt, vanilla, wood, boozy finish, very nice.

Can shared at Jimmy's farewell party. Pours a pitch black with a small brown head that lingers. Great bourbon notes on the nose with vanilla and coconut underneath. Dark chocolate, coconut and vanilla on the palate. Finishes up with lingering bourbon and oak. Good body.
