Bottle at Craig’s, Edinburgh tasting, I picked this up from the Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, Herefordshire. Shared in company of Craig, Stella, Jan, Charlotte, Fritz and Loz 30.10.10 This could have been a case of ’after the Lord Mayor’s show after having the Forbidden Canadian Ice Cider, but I was so impressed with this English effort, it gave the former a run for it’s money. Pour’s clear orange, really zappy not as silkly smooth as the Canadian one but bloody good!. There is a distinct English appleyness to this, crisp bite and a bit more in yer face, I loved this and can see me getting some more, bloody marvellous stuff! A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

bottle at halloweeen tasting ...dark amber ... rich light syrupy apple ... not oily like last one ... very open ... ligth fresh ... intense sweet apples ... not at syrupy feel but much more open and lively ... little dryer ... little tartness ...

Bottle from The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, Herefordshire, consumed at campervan, campsite nr Ashbourne, Derbyshire 19.09.10 Pours gold but with a surprisingly low carbonation. There is a little spiciness as the description suggest. Soft squidgy apples on the nose. Taste is initially quite sweet, but a little something is lost by the blending of these two apples (Kingston Black & Somerset Redstreak) I think it tastes a little thinner than these two apples could individually could achieve. Bottle from Country Homes & Gardens, Garden Centre, on main Leominster to Hereford Road, near Wellington & Dinmore Hill, consumed 26-07-10 Pours peachy gold, still and with reasonably decent clarity. Nose is light, touch of sharpness and lemony with apples. Quite citric in the mouth, very tangy with a slight sour woodiness, drying, and a pleasant tangy bite at end. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle picked up from the Cheeseworks, Cheltenham, Glos’ 05-09-09 Pours gold some light carbonation. Aroma is definately appley but there is also a cheesiness which is a little strange bearing in mind where I purchased it. Sniffed again and yep’ there is a slight cheese aroma too this. Taste is softened apples and a touch on the sweeter side of medium dry, nicely tangy, some soft woodiness in the mouth, decent stuff. A6 A4 F6 P4 Ov12 3.2
