Description
As the “Köstritzer Erbschenke” the Köstritzer black beer brewery is first mentioned in 1543, making it one of the oldest breweries in Germany. In 1948, the brewery became a "Volkseigener Betrieb" after the state of Thuringia had expropriated it. In 1991 the Köstritzer Schwarzbierbrauerei became part of the Bitburger Group and within a few years it has grown into one of the most modern and largest breweries in Thuringia.

Troebel lichtgeel bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is fruitig en zacht met iets van sinaasappel, koriander en wat citrus. Erg goed witbier.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Deepy malty choco aroma. Dark look with nice persistent thin foam. Heavy on the cola flavour. It's pretty decent but nothing wow.

Slightly unclear medium amber colour, tall creamy off-white head, half-way lasting, heavy lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, bread, earthy hops. Taste above medium sweet and light bitter, malty, light roast, bready, caramel, ryeish grain. Medium body, oily texture, lingering maltbitter aftertaste, roasty notes, a quite complex and very malt-oriented kellerbier, very nice.
