The appearance was a dark brown color with a cap of an eggshell white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Just a touch of lace.
The aroma had some milk chocolate, some espresso, molasses/maple syrup and then some nuts. Lightly in the background a caramel/toffee backbone assists in the balance.
The flavor was mostly sweet through the previously mentioned aromas and ends up bringing about a nice aftertaste of caramel/espresso/molasses/maple syrup. Extremely smooth and wrapping into the finish very nicely.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sipping ability about it. ABV felt as projected and oddly enough with the flavors I already mentioned, this wasn’t cloying. Weird, not sure how they did that.
Overall, a beer like this one would think, oh great - this is going to be a cloying mess, but it wasn’t at all. I would definitely have this one again.

The appearance was a soft muddy brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had some light sweet to roasty hazelnut up front with some coffee bean roastiness and milk chocolate sweetness. Light herbal hops low in the background.
The flavor was mainly the same as the aroma, leaning towards the sweet side and sliding into the aftertaste spotting the finish in a damp sweet chocolate to hazelnut sort of way.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good ABV.
Overall, worthy coffee/hazelnut brown ale to have again.

The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white to eggshell white foamy head. Some clingy lace.
The aroma had sweet and roasty coffee tones bold and up front. I guess this is supposed to be a dunkelweizen, but where’s the banana esters in this? There’s a touch of sweet malted wheat and far underneath there’s a little bit of some clove spice.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the wheat and coffee tones (like they used espresso bean, I’m assuming). Leans more towards the coffee roast and sweetness in the aftertaste and has a damp sweet sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Sturdy carbonation. ABV felt fine. Mostly smooth along my tongue.
Overall, dunkelweizen? Not really, but if anything, I dig the idea. I’m guessing the German weizen yeast that they may have used didn’t really chemically react the way they wanted it to with the coffee, not sure.

The appearance was a slight pale yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Subtle stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet citrusy pulpiness up front with some banana sweetness and peel. Light burnt breadiness/somewhat of some sort of Belgian yeastiness was there and then some grass and floral tones.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side with a light floral/grassiness flowing into some earthiness. Semi-dry sort of floral and citrusy sort of aftertaste. Finishes the same way too.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt fine as the brewer projected.
Overall, weird witbier, not sure what Belgians would think of this one.

The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Some light lace ran here and there.
The aroma had some roast, light coffee bean, light cocoa powder.
The flavor blended the sweet to the roast subtly. Light aftertaste of roast and sweet cocoa powder. Roasty sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt good too.
Overall, mostly nice porter worthy of having again if I could get it.

On tap at MBGSF 2015. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head. Lightly sour aroma. A little bitter smoky flavor, a little wheat suggestion. Not too exciting.
