7 Avenue Alsace, Montier-en-Der, La Porte du Der, 52220, France
Description
It was in 2006 that "Nono" decided to set up the Brasserie Artisanale du Der at the Avenue de Lorraine. The first building was small: the entire brewery installation (tanks, bottling machine, pumps and other piping) as well as the office and bar in one room and storage in another. No need to point out that handling and moving were not the easiest. It was in this context that Der's first range of beers was born.
It was therefore in 2013 that the brewery moved to the Avenue d'Alsace, in the premises of an old joinery, the ideal place to accommodate the vats and a new bottling machine. Once the installation was operational, production started up again.

33cl bottle from E.Leclerc VITRY LE FRANCOIS hypermarket. F: big, tanned, good retention. C: dark coppery to brown, light hazy. A: malty, bit caramel, berries. T: medium malty base, some roasted tones, bit dark bread, toast, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, obviously not for the style yet not bad as beer per se.

Bottled. Murky dark brown. Yeasty nose with soap, tobacco and licorice. Sweet with medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Minty and leathery, yesty with black pepper and long resiny bitterness.

75cl bottle split wth Tomaz @ home.
