Bottle from Hopduvel. Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head. Aroma of red apple, malt vinegar, cherry, cassis, ripe passion fruit, nectarine, brown sugar, marzipan, wet wood, musty cellar. Taste has sweet-sour red apple, nectarine, some brambleberry & cassis in a marzipan-like, sweetish brown-sugary malt body surrounded by soft funky notes of malt vinegar, sourdough and yoghurt. Tart cherry & berries in the finish, lingering brown sugar, funky vinegar and woody tannins. Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Typical Oud Bruin, some sweet elements for sure but still in balance.

Taste is tart, tangy, vinous fruity and woody, caramel malty basis with some residual sweetness, notes of oak, blue grapes, blue grape juice, vinegar, some balsamico, morello, sweet mustard. 17/VIII/24 - 75cl bottle @ GBV No-Festival-Bottle-Share, BB: 15/I/26 (2024-770) Thanks to somebody for sharing the bottle!

Pretty clear red brown beer, big creamy beige head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sourish, vinegar notes, acidic, some CO2, pretty weird smell, funky, a bit woody, sharp acidity. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sugary sweet start, red fruits, some jam, a bit watery, acidic. Aftertaste: vinegar notes, sugary, berries, cherries, acidic sting in the throat, meh, not a big fan of this. I liked the regular better.

Reddish colour with a purple hue. Aroma and flavour really cover the whole range of Kriek/cherry possibilities. Candied glace cherries. Cherry pits. A bit sweet. A bit sour.

Bottle from Hopduvel. Clear amber, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of ripe nectarine, passion fruit, plum juice, green apple, brioche, vinegar, wet wood, clove, 'carré confiture'. Taste has sour green apple, grape, passion fruit pit and nectarine stone in malty body of brioche & 'carré confiture', surrounded by funky vinegar & sour cream notes. Very tart finish offering funky & fermenting fruits, woody tannins (wet oak) and a vague white wine effect (without the alcohol). Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Well-made 'Oud Bruin-ish', quite accessible too (in comparison to some Alvinne examples that are better but also more aggressive).
