Backlog January 2017. Clear amber body under a small off-white head. Aroma is mild and basically just caramel malt. Light in taste as well, sweet caramel malt, toast and some fruitiness. Plain and boring.

Des -17

330 ml bottle, from Gulating Lura. ABV is 4.7%. Hops are EKG, Simcoe and Centennial. Slightly hazy orange to amber colour, small white head. Aroma of caramel and wort, not much hops. Slightly sweet and malty flavour, notes of grain, dust and caramel, some citrus in the background helps the drinkability. Not a great beer though. Won't buy again.

Bottle. An unclear amber colored beer with a firm off-white to light beige head of finger-thick size. Malty, bready aroma with a touch of toffee. A generic fruityness too, with some lemon notes. It's full-bodied and smooth on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation. It's semi-sweet, with a little bitterness bringing some balance. Fruity hops and toffee-ish, bready malts in the flavor. Long malty finish with a nice fruityness. Sure nothing revolutionary going on here, but it's a tasteful and pleasant old school beer indeed. 171201
