A dark clear brown beer with a thick lacing light moka head. A pleasant nutty aroma, again very grainy, with light pears. In mouth, a very caramelly malt with light alcohol warmth, and oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Again, very good. On tap at Grohe, Oct. 17, 2007. 1.80 euro for 200 mL.

A nice golden brew with a creamy white head. Aroma of fresh grains and light german hops. An intense grainy malt in mouth, tingling, with good green hops, lightly oily in mouth. Very nice and fresh. This was a pleasant surprise. On tap at Grohe, Oct. 17 2007.

Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of metal and alcohol, leading to a dry bitter finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear, dark amber golden with an off-white head leaving quite some lacework. Lightly sweet, roasted malt aroma. Medium body, sweetish roasted malts and a very discreet bitterness. A classical and very pleasant Dunkler Bock. 180907

Hazy dark amber color; creamy head. The aroma is not very good, stale cereals. The flavor is ok, with a mix of caramel and a light malt. And it ends with a fair bitterness. Still, it’s not impressive.

Mahogany to chestnut color. Compact head. Mild aroma of caramel. Good body, a bit round too, with sweet caramel flavor, followed by a nutty touch. Correct bitterness. Not impressive, but solid.

Clean dark amber color. The aroma is malty and soapy, and bread. Medium body, quite sweet, caramel taste, correct bitterness. Not bad.

I am told that Hell and Export should be the same... Deep blond color; small head. The aroma is too light, some hidden honey. The flavor instead is almost sweet, for a Helles, with some malt, straws and a pleasant honey accent. Simple but drinkable with easiness.

Blond color. The malt/hop aroma is light, as well the flavor; just some light crispy malt; but the hopping is very low: not enough bitter and not aromatic at all. Ordinary.
