(Bottle) Colour is amber, frothy white head, quickly disappearing. Nose is malty, fruity with dried fruit, toffee and caramel, hints of over ripe apples as well. Taste is malty with dried fruit, cherries and hints of chocolate. Medium to full body, rather sweet (a bit honeyish), ending with a refreshing puff of bitter hops in the finish. Well balanced and nice.

Bottle. Shiny golden colour, OK white head. Mild flavour, a bit of malt and hops. Low bitterness and no off-flavours. OK mouthfeel.

Small white head disappears, leaving thin film. Yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Strong aroma of grass and straw, very harmonic. Taste is deep, earthy vaguely metallic, again with straw and grass. Clearly a lot of hops in this. Quite unusual, but has the Einbecker signature profile. Bitterish, grassy aftertaste. A good pilsener. (0.33l bottle.)

Draught Creamy, white body with a nice lace. Clear, golden body. Faint aroma of sweet hops. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter finish. Lightly bodied. Lively carbonation. I thought this was very well balanced. This has to be one of the best pilseners I’ve tasted so far due to te the presence of the hoppy freshness.

Draught Frothy, off-white head which diminishes totally. Clear, deep-caramel brown coloured. Faint malty aroma with some notes of hops. Lightly sweet initial flavour, moderately bitter finish. The flavour has also some saltiness, but not very hard or annoying, Lightly bodied. This is rather complex. A nice German Dunkel.

Bottle Frothy to fizzy, off-white head. Lace lacks. The heads disappears almost totally. Pale, yellow colour. Very soapy, weak aroma of faint hops. Lightly bitter flavour with an astringent feel that makes this beer not so good at all.

Bottle. Creamy off-white excellent fully lasting head. Amber colour. Powerfull malty aroma. Nice caramellic flavor. A little alcoholic. Average finish. Oily palate. Wonderfull bock.

Bottle. Rich amber brown beer with an off-white head. Lots of caramel in the aroma. Caramel and toffee in the flavor with a little noble hop backing. Lingering sweet caramel. Richer bodied. My 2 year-old son says: "that’s yummy fizzy juice".

Taster from a green bottle at Binny’s, Orland Park. There are great doppelbocks, and there are the plain old workaday bocks. This one works very well. Light color for its style, with an uncomplicated "beer" smell. Grainy and slightly roasty taste, with slight spiciness. Claims to have been one of the first Bocks, and that’s likely. Good basic spring-time beer.
