Description
Taybeh Brewing Company is a family owned business established in 1994 following the Oslo Peace Agreement (1993) when David Khoury and Nadim Khoury were inspired by their late father, Canaan David Khoury (1926-2002) to return to their home village of Taybeh after spending more than twenty years in the United States and establish the first micro brewery in the Middle East.
The goal was to invest and boost the local economy by introducing new styles of natural hand crafted micro-brewed beers according to the German Purity Law with no preservatives or additives making an excellent Palestinian beer while creating a nationalistic feeling. Nadim Khoury turned his hobby of making homemade beer during college days into a career becoming the master brewer. He is very proud to pass this passion and experience to his daughter, Madees Khoury, the only female brewer in Palestine.

Bottle from Craft Beer Cellar Belmont, I thought it was a new country tick. Dark brown with a tightly bubbled tan head that persists. Light earthy roast with light caramel and wet cardboard. Not bad.

(Bottle) Pours very dark brown with thin loose short-lived tan head. Pleasant aroma of coffee, toasted malt, nuts. Medium body, good bright carbonation. Nice taste - rich toasted malt, some dark chocolate bitterness appearing later. Easy drinking and very pleasant.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden amber with tiny white head. Faint but pleasant fruity aroma - peaches maybe. Medium body with plenty of bright, almost fizzy, carbonation. Taste has plenty of hoppy bitterness. There’s some nice fruitiness at the start with tropical and stone fruit. There’s some toffee malt in the mix too. Decent IPA.

(Bottle) Pours clear amber with tiny short-lived white head. Gentle aroma of gingerbread with herb / vegetable hints. Medium body with plenty of somewhat fizzy carbonation. Taste of ginger, cardamom, some light toffee malt. Little bitterness. Some alcohol burn. Unusual but works really quite well.
