Description
Taybeh Brewing Company is a family owned business established in 1994 following the Oslo Peace Agreement (1993) when David Khoury and Nadim Khoury were inspired by their late father, Canaan David Khoury (1926-2002) to return to their home village of Taybeh after spending more than twenty years in the United States and establish the first micro brewery in the Middle East.
The goal was to invest and boost the local economy by introducing new styles of natural hand crafted micro-brewed beers according to the German Purity Law with no preservatives or additives making an excellent Palestinian beer while creating a nationalistic feeling. Nadim Khoury turned his hobby of making homemade beer during college days into a career becoming the master brewer. He is very proud to pass this passion and experience to his daughter, Madees Khoury, the only female brewer in Palestine.

Sweet banana nose, slightly Belgiany, not sure why this shows up as a lager.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Off-white head reduced to a few patches leaving spotty lacing on the glass, deep mahogany coloured body. Nicely roasted grainy caramel on the nose. Carefully balanced flavours of bread, dried fruits, and caramel. Lightly roasted bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Repeatable. (Tromsø 13.05.2021).

Bottle at home. Pours a clear dark brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of rye bread, walnuts, dates, milk chocolate, leather and some cocoa. Flavour of walnuts, leather, bread crust, raisins and some cocoa and ash in the end. Has a slick and a little watery mouth feel, light to medium body and a light bitterness. Malty and nice.

330ml bottle, kindly shared by Finn. Slowly diminishing white head, bright warm golden body, spotty lacing. Moderate smell of bread-like malts and grassy hops, mid-sweet. Mild malty sweetness to the taste buds, hints of dried fruits. Mid-sweet, drying end. Clean on the swallow. Fair enough. (Nerstranda, Tromsø 08,04.2021).
