(Can) Pours clear pale golden yellow with good white head. Pleasant aroma with notes of grain, pepper and hint of citrus. Medium body with good bright carbonation. Good taste. Clean, slightly tart start. Peppery spice notes appear and grow through the palate to a pleasant bitter finish. Notes of bread and hints of candy. Pleasant.

(Can) Pours clear straw yellow with good white head. Subtle but pleasant aroma with notes of citrus and grass. Light body with fine bright carbonation. Pleasant taste. Grassy herbal notes, citrus, biscuit malt notes. A little bitterness in finish. Very good.

(Can) Pours clear amber with big white head. Lovely aroma with notes of orange, and hints of caramel and fresh wood shavings. Medium body and well carbonated. Great taste too. Plenty of hops from a fresh fruity start to a good bitter finish. There’s orange notes in the fruity start, and a nice backbone of caramel malt. Very good.

(Can) A fine looking beer - pours black with big tan head. Pleasant aroma - coffee, roast grain, notes of chocolate. Smooth, medium body, well carbonated. Great taste too. Plenty of bitterness, initially of a coffee, very dark chocolate, burnt sugar ilk, with a hoppy bitterness developing. Dark roast grain and a little dark toffee sweetness and some tart notes. Very enjoyable.

Day 20:
Nice hazy orange color with big soapy white foam that leaves loads of lacing behind. Soft candy and fruit aroma. Medium to full bodied with a semi-dry carbonation. The taste is sweet honeyed juicy candied mango. Quite nice.

Can. Very dark brown, beige head. Mocha aroma with some earth and spices. A little drier than guessed with roast going ahead of mocha and firmish spicy bitterness. Maybe a little red berry note. There is a definite trend towards stouts without crap in them this winter and I'm happy about it,

Aromas of coffee, chocolate, nuts and dates. A little citrus with the coffee in the mouth. Very nice.

Can. Clear amber with a 2cm white head. Really is like PU (which I've had canned in the last 10 days) - perhaps slightly less buttery and less stinging bitterness, but close.

Can. A little darker than amber with a good inch of pale beige head that lasts well. Toasty and slightly earth aroma with floral and spice notes. So it tastes - barely sweet with toast and maybe a a tiny touch of roast but no caramel or fruit. Bitterness is quite firm at the end. Another good dark lager from White Bay.
