We're a family owned and operated farm brewery located in North Langley on MacInnes Farms, just up the hill and around the bend from the historic village of Fort Langley.

Locality was born out of a passion for local farming and a love of community. We grow and market our own Barley and Hops as Be Ingredients and operate Locality Brewing both right here on the farm!

Into the Woods - Black Forest Stout from Locality Brewing

On tap at the brewery. Pours nearly black with a beige nitro head. Faint wisps of roasted malt on the nose. Flavour has very little roast, more like a generic dark malt character with excess sugars floating around. This is a pretty sloppy imperial stout.

On tap at the brewery. Pours opaque pale yellow with a white head. Pale citrus and herbal grass on the nose. Flavour has lots of herbal grass and juicy citrus. The hop expression is weirdly herbal. Not great.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky pale pink with a white head. Tons of underripe raspberries on the nose. Flavour has underripe berries and some rhubarb; a bit wheaty. Pretty mediocre.

Pale brown. Thin head. Mild rum barrel, some phenols, but a decent toffee note as well. The sugars are nice on the palate, and there's warming alcohol. It doesn't not work.

Amber-brown. The aroma has caramel, light toffee, nutty. Some phenols. On the palate, it's light, thin, with mellow figginess. Low phenols again, for whatever reason. The whole package goes nowhere.

650mL bottle at FHF 2025, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has somewhat harsh rum barrels, Belgian yeast, and some spiciness. Flavour is reasonably integrated, with harsh, low-quality rum barrels, spicy Belgian yeast, and earthy notes. A bit harsh but reasonably integrated. Okay.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest 2025, pours a clear dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of Belgian yeast, dark dried fruits, toffee, and some burnt sugar. Flavour is fruity and dry, with lots of booze, low-quality barrels, and some Belgian yeast. Boozy, harsh, but dry and drinkable enough given the gravity. Okay.

On tap at Darby's. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Nice Brett and rustic grains on the nose, good funk. Flavour has rustic yeast, fairly grainy, decent funk. A bit thin on the palate, but pleasant enough

Dry Hopped Brett Saison from Locality Brewing

On tap at Darby’s, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some acetone, musty brett, and floral dry-hopping. Flavour has a nice forceful dry-hopping character that is pleasant, but the saison yeast character underneath is the usual estery stuff. The hops do elevate this though. Maybe the brett needs more time? It’s alright.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 08/08/24). Hazed orangey gold with off white head. Crystal malt with light caramel malt, citrus and piney resinous hop, quite old school, enjoyable.
