Description
Shock Top is a traditional Belgian-Style wheat ale. It was originally created in 2006 as a seasonal brew under the name Spring Heat Spiced Wheat. After collecting gold in ’06 and bronze in ’07 in the Belgian White category at the North American Beer Awards, we decided to brew year-round and switch the name to Shock Top. We couldn’t be happier with our decision. And the best decision you can make is to try some Shock Top for yourself.

Opalescent golden colour, moderate sized creamy ecru-ish head; aroma and taste of lemony, coriander, bread crusty, some clove and hints of dried banana; good one

19.2oz can drunk after arriving home from waiting nearly forever for the parking lot to be released after Chesterfield 4th fireworks. Orange amber, moderate head. Mild nose, lightly citrus-ish flavor, i can barely notice any coriander. This is a very low budget Belgian Wit, I tell you. It's pleasant enough as long as you've not had (or are not expecting) a real, tasty Wit.

Cheap bottle, pour is almost clear pale with lots of visible carbonation streaming. Slight berry nose, smells a lot like your typical dull fruit beer. Yes, first taste is just a tad tart. Good co2 level. Yes, some berry in there too. Perhaps a little more civilized than yer typical wheat ale fruit beer. Not much of that rude wheat ale bitterness, thankfully. Overall this beer is not bad, shock tops are generally easy for a lager lover to enjoy, and this is.

Bottle. Taste like pumpkin pie in a bottle. Sweeter than most pumpkin beers but still it’s good. Aroma is lots of spice with a tad of grain and hops. Orange copper color.
