Can from Sainsburys. Had to buy 4 for 4 quid. #3 from MJ 500 this summer trip. Creamy, chcolate nose, with hints of vanilla, caramel, and the lightest touch of roastiness. There are also notes of plums and raisins. Not a bad nose. Black with a tall, rocky tan head and obvious carbonation. Flavor is quite sweet, with dark chocolate, light vanilla, wood or cardboard, a bit of roasted malts. There is some caramel in there too. It is a bit too sweet, but not in the nasty sense. Also a reasonable body for 2.8%. There is the lightest hop peppery taste in teh finish. Jackson probably included this mostly for historical interest, as it was the first milk stout introduced in 1910. It still carries that interest. It still also tastes pretty decent, however. Certainly not something I would drink regularly, but not at all bad. the little lactic pastiness at the finish is a bit unpleasant, though.

(bottle 0,355l -- 9 % alc.) Overall: Meh. Just sweet and a bit alcoholic. Aroma: Light grainy, light alcohol, weak. Appearance: Clear golden. Minimal, white head. Taste: Medium sweet, malty, light alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Light warm finish.

Poured from 275mL bottle. Black with tan head. Mild roast and cocoa with a touch of milk chocolate and syrup to round it out. Medium body.

330ml can. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet malt, roastiness, milk chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, milky coffee, light roastiness. Decent despite its low ABV.

Can. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of herbs, alcohol, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lime, malt, and sugar, leading to a dry finish. Not really a beer.

Can@Lars tasting - Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Light citrus fruity with notes of lime, sweet mojito notes, touch of mint, light to medium body, overt sweet into the finish.

F: medium, white, quick gone. C: gold, clear. A: malty, artificial spearmint, bit sugary, green apple. T: light “malty”, artificial mint, sugary sweet mint, vaguely fruity, contains corn also, only brief sometimes bad things happen and this is the case, hardly to be enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Carrefour market @ Leuvensesteenweg in Tervuren.
