330ml Can from Asda. Pours black, beige head, which reasonable retention and lacing. Aroma of malts and caramel. Low to moderate carbonation and the body is decent considering the sub-3% ABV. The barley malts come through strong with a caramel note and then the sweetness kicks in. There is then a slight milky smoothness which fights a bit with the carbonation and then a moderate dry bitter finish. This is pretty decent actually, underrated I think.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Morrion's, Woking. Bought the 4-pack and gave the rest away at work. It's fine.

By gravity at Olde Dolphin, Derby A classic beer that I’ve been drinking for years but never got around to rating before. Pours a mid-brown amber with a small white head. A distinctive nose of malts with some sulphur (matches). Malts again in the taste, together with some floral hops and a creamy texture. A bitter finish to round things off. A good solid swiggable beer.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out briny notes, some black liquorice, and a little lactose. Flavour is very sweet, with lots of lactose, a little bit of brine, and black liquorice. Sweet, almost cloying. Pleasant stuff.

Bottle from Tfontana, thanks for the opportunity! Inky black with a fuzzy mocha head that persists. Milk Chocolate and earthy roast with hints of earth and fruit. Really nice Old World Stout.

Filling in a bit of a gap in my beer CV here; I have to admit I've never tried Bass before. I like the idea of drinking a beer with so much history (including the first trademark ever registered), but I was fully prepared to be underwhelmed by the beer itself. And it didn't disappoint in that regard. It's pale amber with a white head, and was served in reasonable condition. It's got a floral hop taste against a light caramel background. There's a mineral hint in the mildly bitter finish. It's just about ok, but a long way from being a classic. It is however, the beer most likely to win an award for the greatest number of old-timers telling you it's not a patch on what it used to be, you know.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk. Cloudy yellow with a fluffy white head. Zingy citrus aroma, flavour is citrus with a mild salty tang and a dry, dusty finish

Cloudy golden beer, bubbly white head. Bready lemon aroma. Flavour is citrusy too, and pretty dry. Grassy hop in there and not a lot else but what we have is a crisp, dry beer that's nicely refreshing.
