Description
For over a century, Aujan has produced some of the Middle East and North Africa’s most beloved beverage brands. A passion for high quality products and innovation helped the company grow to become the region’s largest independent beverage manufacturer.

In 2012, this success was recognized by The Coca-Cola Company when it formed a partnership with Aujan’s beverage business. Recognized as the largest investment by a multinational firm into a regional FMCG company, this partnership led to the creation of a new world class company: The Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company (ACCBC).

As the partnership between Aujan and The Coca-Cola Company enters a new era, we are focused on extending our market leading position in current markets while unlocking new international opportunities further afield. Recent examples are the acquisition of NBC, the Coca-Cola bottler in Lebanon, our significantly increased market presence in Algeria and Ethiopia and the decision to build a new state of the art factory in Cairo, Egypt.

Rani, Barbican and Vimto are truly regional super brands, holding top-three positions in still beverages in every country where they are sold, but with so many young people in the region there is plenty of room for further growth. This is why we will continue to invest into different areas of the business, from R&D innovation, manufacturing and technology, through to our people, customers, and the community.

Building on the shared heritage of Aujan and The Coca-Cola Company, ACCBC can rightly look forward to a very bright future.

Clear orange beer, very small white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet sugary, some sewer, hay. MF: low carbon, light body. Taste: very sweet, sugary, some tobacco, sweet fruity. Bluh, disgusting. Just keep ticking!

Bottle, gift from a friend. Dark golden color with medium white head. Strong malty aroma. Incredibly sweet malty taste with fruity hints. Dry malty finish. Actually not so bad as I expected, and of course, new country for me.

0,33l bottle in Jordan. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, malt and malt. Reminds me a bit of vørterøl/Malzbier. It tastes a bit like vørerøl too, but not as sweet and heavy. Watery sweet malt, but not as bad as expected. Maybe a hint of spices from the hops, but hardly any bitterness at all. Sweet, but not too sweet. Drinkable in my opinion (but I like vørterøl very much)

0.33l bottle from local store in Bergen. Pours a clear champagne colored body with a thin fading and sidesticking bubbly off-white head. Aroma has lots of sugar, notes of dry cardboard, candy and some tropical fruits. Watery texture and average carbonation. Light and artificial sweet flavors, some malts and some notes of ripe fruits. Almost like carbonated old apple juice. Truly impossible to drink the whole bottle.

330 ml bottle from Wung Tau in Kristiansand. Clear, slightly dark golden body with a small and fast disappearing white head, practical no head at all. Much carbonation, looks like a soda pop. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, some kind of lemon acidity and canned vegetables. Flavor has some kind of harsh malt, but not really bitter, light fruit and chemical sweetness. Not very nice, more like a soda pop than beer, actually close to undrinkable. Need to be served really cold to hide some of the off flavors and the sweet stickiness. Somehow fascinating that there actually are a marked for this.

Found at a Muslim shop in a mall in Kota Kinabalu, MY. Very dull bronze. This honestly doesn’t smell like beer - maybe a wet mop or something but not beer. Tastes like a non-alc, just innocuous wort and wateriness. A little minerally late. I understand that this sucks, but it’s also the basis for a million fruit versions and I don’t think these flavours would work well with fruit flavour syrups either. So I just do not understand at all.
