Description
Sig Brewing Company is a small family-owned brewpub located in Tacoma’s Historic Brewing District. Our goal was to differentiate ourselves in as many ways as possible including our beers, food, and taproom. We were fortunate enough to hire a talented head brewer in Jeff Stokes and opened our doors in the spring of 2020. We love craft beer and are very proud to be a part of its local community.

Can from Tavour. Pours hazy gold with a transient white head. Aroma of peach, citrus, kumquat. Med body. Juicy but only a little sweet. Lightly bitter. Flavor is peach, kumquat, citrus and a few other things I think. Nice flavor.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy orange gold pour. Massive, pillowy white head is slow to dissipate, leaving behind cascading lacing. Aroma of stone fruit and papaya. Flavor is more stone fruit. Notes of peach, papaya and apricot. Slightly viscous mouthfeel. Not picking up any citrus at all. Sticky and pulpy. At 12.3% ABV, the alcohol is rather subdued. This is a truly unique brew. Quadruple ales are rather rare and this one is a standout example of the style.

Dark brown, no head. The adjuncts aren't coming through with much brightness, but the base doesn't really pop a whole lot either. It's light and sweet, lacking bitterness, and while there's a bit of maple, that's it. Not a whole lot else really making an impression.

Aromas are lots of caramel malt with a little citrus and hints of resin and MJ. Flavors are similar to nose with citrus coming forward and caramel going back. Alcohol is well hidden. Pretty amazing for a quad IPA.

12oz (thx, Josh!) @ SF
Aroma: a lot of port, some light acidity.
Taste: along the same lines, a lot of barrel, kinda harsh and not nicely balanced.
Overall: ok.

Medium brown, with no head. This has a really nice fruity aroma, light figgy notes, some mellow bourbon accents. On the palate, this has a sweet sultana note, some syrup, and a bit of barrel, the port coming through a touch at this point, leading to more alcohol in the finish. Good balance. This is good.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Cool can, and awesome to find some that were recognized at the Fresh Hop festival. Mostly clean golden pour, shiny. Love the flavor and hop bite in this lighter pale. Aroma is quite balanced with piney, grassy hops and grains. Tingling pine bitter front, crisp body overall. One of the more enjoyable brews I've come across this fresh season. Not surprised this one turned heads so well.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. 7th fresh hop brew of the season. Cloudy but bright golden appearance. Fresh citrus fruit nose, pineapple, melon. Really fragrant. Top notch IPA aroma. Flavor has a steady dose of melon and tropical notes, with a balancing mildly gritty grain. Very low bitter, but very flavorful. Excellent execution of the dry hop stage. Overall a clear stand out in the harvest brews this season. Love this.

500 mL bottle picked up at Sig. Pours a dark and dense, muddy brown with very little head. Lots of bold whiskey barrel, some licorice notes that linger, semi dry oak, rich caramel nose, layered flavors throughout that make this quite complex. Boozy whiskey notes are heavy but appropriate, and the other dense flavors still find a way to balance. Bran, licorice, tobacco. Really interesting array of flavors. Really unique and nice brew.
