Description
The beginning of Riverlands Brewing Company is a story that captures everything that we love about not only beer, but life. We started dreaming up this brewery at a Fourth of July BBQ on a beautiful sunny day surrounded by family, friends, and of course, great beer. Our brewery is owned and operated by family and close friends, and our beer is best enjoyed in the company of such. When you visit our taproom, you'll be included in that family feel of our brewery, and you'll enjoy some great beer too.

At Riverlands, we brew the beer that we love. We're inspired both by balance, and the lack thereof. We appreciate huge hop aroma and flavor of a New England Style IPA, thick flavored stouts, and tart sours equally with the delicate balance of a well constructed lager. You'll find all of that with us and everything in between. We pour ourselves into each batch we make, each glass we fill. You'll never find a beer from Riverlands that was not obsessed over from the time the recipe was constructed, to the moment it finds its way to your table.

We are located in St Charles, Illinois, just a couple miles from the Fox River. St Charles' motto is "The Pride of the Fox." We are truly part of this community, with several members of our team growing up and still residing here. We embrace the saying, "Brewed With Pride, Enjoy The Ride" in the same way. We are proud of every one of our beers and the work that went into them. We're proud of the hard work each of us put into our brewery. Mostly, we're proud to be part of the ever growing community that is craft beer, and we will always bring our unrelenting enthusiasm for what we do to all of you.

Cheers.

Aromas are a muted blend of resin, citrus, wet grain and malt. Flavors are similar to nose, citrus comes out a little more and is not enhanced by soft carbonation. Totally has been done before. Decent but could have been better.

Can shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has mango and guava with a bit of sweet grains and growing citrus supporting. Flavor has mango and dank citrus with a bit of onion and a touch of sweet grains underlying.

On tap at Mikerphone, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma has a wonderful bourbon barrel expression, toasted wood, and dark sugars. Flavour is extremely rich, revealing a fruitier-than-expected malt bill thats wrapped in that beautiful Pappy barrel. While the bourbon expression is splendid, the base malts skew a little fruity and sweet for me, whereas I want more wood and roast. Still fantastic.

Can from Tavour. Pours dirty hazy gold with a large creamy white head that turned foamy and persisted. Aroma is earthy, citrus, passion fruit. Med plus body. It's rather dry, juicy and nicely bitter. Flavor is pretty much the aroma. It is quite delicious.

Aromas are a nice blend of resin, citrus, stone fruit and a hint of MJ. Flavors are similar to nose, excellent balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Juicy. Great body and finish. Satisfying and very drinkable beer. Wish I had more. Junction Road store.

Aromas are mainly resin with a little citrus and wet grain. Flavors are similar to nose with resin standing out, bittersweet. The hop qualities don't work that well together.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour with a one finger beige head. Rich, roasty malt aroma. Taste is burnt toast, coffee, some notes of chocolate with light sweet touches, but mostly a big bitter bite. Full mouthfeel.

16oz can. 2023 beer. 1 year old and holds up fine. Kind of nails it for a Pastry Stout. Big, steady rolling maple tone. The nutty tone isn't super defined, but fleshes out the big, sugary, sweetness. Fully decadent, rich, full bodied beer.
