Description
The beginning of Riverlands Brewing Company is a story that captures everything that we love about not only beer, but life. We started dreaming up this brewery at a Fourth of July BBQ on a beautiful sunny day surrounded by family, friends, and of course, great beer. Our brewery is owned and operated by family and close friends, and our beer is best enjoyed in the company of such. When you visit our taproom, you'll be included in that family feel of our brewery, and you'll enjoy some great beer too.

At Riverlands, we brew the beer that we love. We're inspired both by balance, and the lack thereof. We appreciate huge hop aroma and flavor of a New England Style IPA, thick flavored stouts, and tart sours equally with the delicate balance of a well constructed lager. You'll find all of that with us and everything in between. We pour ourselves into each batch we make, each glass we fill. You'll never find a beer from Riverlands that was not obsessed over from the time the recipe was constructed, to the moment it finds its way to your table.

We are located in St Charles, Illinois, just a couple miles from the Fox River. St Charles' motto is "The Pride of the Fox." We are truly part of this community, with several members of our team growing up and still residing here. We embrace the saying, "Brewed With Pride, Enjoy The Ride" in the same way. We are proud of every one of our beers and the work that went into them. We're proud of the hard work each of us put into our brewery. Mostly, we're proud to be part of the ever growing community that is craft beer, and we will always bring our unrelenting enthusiasm for what we do to all of you.

Cheers.

Hazy yellow pour with a thick white head. Nose has just a hint of tropical fruit, though pineapple becomes more pronounced in the glass. Taste is nove on tropical fruit juice, just a little bit tart. Carbonated fruit juice taste builds up in a nice way.

Aromas are mildly bitter, dusty, dry grain. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose but lean a bit sweet with good carbonation and body for the style. Decent but nothing special.

22oz @ Brian's shared with Ryan and Phill.
Aroma: some dark fruits, American oak, caramel, some vanilla.
Taste: along the same lines, nice body and malt depth, some nice dark fruits, a bit boozy.
Overall: very pleasant and nicely balanced.

Poured from 650mL bottle (red wax). Very slow (surprising) gush on opening. Very dark brown with dissipating beige head. Very nice, balanced bourbon with syrupy dark fruits and sugars. Never tried this brewery before, but this is very nice.

Can from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a large foamy tan head that initially attempted a Guinness pour. Aroma is pretty much chocolate. Arguably med body. Malty but rather dry. Some what bitter. The dark malt is certainly present but the chocolate dominates. Very good flavor.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, white foamy heads recedes, leaves patchy lacing. Tropical, dank aroma, overripe stone fruit. Taste is fruity, mango, papaya, apricot, melon. ABV creeps in late for a little bit of burn.
