Riverlands Brewing Company
Microbrewery in Saint Charles, Illinois, United States 🇺🇸
At Riverlands, we brew the beer that we love. We're inspired both by balance, and the lack thereof. We appreciate huge hop aroma and flavor of a New England Style IPA, thick flavored stouts, and tart sours equally with the delicate balance of a well constructed lager. You'll find all of that with us and everything in between. We pour ourselves into each batch we make, each glass we fill. You'll never find a beer from Riverlands that was not obsessed over from the time the recipe was constructed, to the moment it finds its way to your table.
We are located in St Charles, Illinois, just a couple miles from the Fox River. St Charles' motto is "The Pride of the Fox." We are truly part of this community, with several members of our team growing up and still residing here. We embrace the saying, "Brewed With Pride, Enjoy The Ride" in the same way. We are proud of every one of our beers and the work that went into them. We're proud of the hard work each of us put into our brewery. Mostly, we're proud to be part of the ever growing community that is craft beer, and we will always bring our unrelenting enthusiasm for what we do to all of you.
Cheers.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma is lightly bready in support of grass/spice. Near med body. Flavor is grass/spice with bready support. I think it should be drier, but it's nicely bitter.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy, pale gold color. Large, frothy white head. Nice lacing. Fragrant citrus and vanilla aroma. Tangy, bittersweet citrus flavor upfront. Hints of orange, grapefruit and key limes. Some stickiness on the palate. Sharp, bitter citrus hop finish has some lingering astringency.

Aroma has a good amount of pine and light resin with a bit of citrus rind underlying. Flavor has pine throughout with a resinous bite and a hint of earthy spruce in the finish.

Can from Tavour. Aroma of mango and tropical fruit. Slight stone fruit. Murky yellow-orange with white head that lingers. Patterns well. Flavor is orange creamsicle, fruit bar. Medium-full mouthfeel with chewy rind and yeast marrying.

Box of Chocolates 4-pack at Skeleton Key, $10/pint. Looks like some extra fermentation caused the beer to nearly overrun the can when opened. But no crisis caused. Pours a deep brownish black, with a dark brown, thin ring of foam. The nose has lots of chocolate, and on this one I can catch the alcohol. Yes, plenty of warming, but not hot, alcohol in the palate. Some creamy chocolate at the top of my tongue, which is curling a bot, to suggest that there is still some bitterness at work. Yet the sweetness has somehow been ratcheted back so the nibs can be featured.
