Description
The beginning of Riverlands Brewing Company is a story that captures everything that we love about not only beer, but life. We started dreaming up this brewery at a Fourth of July BBQ on a beautiful sunny day surrounded by family, friends, and of course, great beer. Our brewery is owned and operated by family and close friends, and our beer is best enjoyed in the company of such. When you visit our taproom, you'll be included in that family feel of our brewery, and you'll enjoy some great beer too.

At Riverlands, we brew the beer that we love. We're inspired both by balance, and the lack thereof. We appreciate huge hop aroma and flavor of a New England Style IPA, thick flavored stouts, and tart sours equally with the delicate balance of a well constructed lager. You'll find all of that with us and everything in between. We pour ourselves into each batch we make, each glass we fill. You'll never find a beer from Riverlands that was not obsessed over from the time the recipe was constructed, to the moment it finds its way to your table.

We are located in St Charles, Illinois, just a couple miles from the Fox River. St Charles' motto is "The Pride of the Fox." We are truly part of this community, with several members of our team growing up and still residing here. We embrace the saying, "Brewed With Pride, Enjoy The Ride" in the same way. We are proud of every one of our beers and the work that went into them. We're proud of the hard work each of us put into our brewery. Mostly, we're proud to be part of the ever growing community that is craft beer, and we will always bring our unrelenting enthusiasm for what we do to all of you.

Cheers.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, thin, creamy white head. Faint fruity aroma. Taste is subdued, barely there citrus, lemon zest. I made sure I got to the bottom of the can, hoping there was some sediment to add any character to this, but no luck. Very unexciting.

The last beer in the taster tray still has a thin layer of foam on top. This has the most chocolatey nose of the batch, partly accentuated by the raspberry addition. The mouthfeel at first sip is a little less thick than the others, but still pretty full-bodied. The raspberry flavor is pretty big here, but like the others, its tempered by a side of chocolate. All the malts on all the beers have a clean smooth roast as stouts go. This one is adding to the alcohol of the previous beers, which gives this a finish like a fruit cordial.
