$4.40 single from Hopfly. I think I'm a sucker for freshies. Why is this $4?! Jalapenos are .77c a pound. No born on date but it was next to other fresh Hopfly. Beastiefan would probably love this if he were local.
Rinsed out lo-ball at home. Filtered, medium gold, tall off-white head.
Very vegetal with some wanting corn nacho maltiness & weak banana.
Ugly veg intertwined with creamy malt & strong banana esters. I don't like this for the most part but the forced carb is strong & there is a notable old world hop bite that lingers on the tail to distract from the messiness.
Solid acid, crispy, middling abv warmth.
It just isn't a good mesh.

$4 pint can from Appalachian. No born on date but there was half a shelf of new Hopfly on display, so it can't be that old yet. I'm here every couple of weeks.
Pint glass at home. Tall & chunky but thin, off-white head. Dark Lipton iced tea body.
Sweet breakfast cereal, slight plum & banana, menthol & maple nose.
Sweet, flat malta, slight cola phosphates, ashy bread crust with a very thin feel. Building & lingering aspirin bitterness in the back throat never amounts to much.
Just okay. Expected better.

Single from one of the local HotSpots. Usually fresh but there's no date stamp, wtf?!
Pint glass at home. Pale straw pour, light protein haze, scummy head.
Veggie too fresh skunk nose, some cheese.
Super danky, onion, peppery, hyper veggie green compost. A little too much.
ABV is not in consideration. Feels stronger than the paltry list.
Stiff, fizzy, kinda starchy.
Flavor is just too fresh & veggie.

Not much here. Generally just brokering light brown fairly clear and beige head. Nose is toast and caramel. Tastes of caramel and bread crust hint of sasparilla. Thin bodied. Just forgettable.

Pilfering Sam's fridge with Mr. Muck while George distracts everyone by being cute. This feels like a direct from the can rate.
Cigarette nose, a tiny bit floral, touch of white wine, baked biscuit.
Floral, veggie, very earthy, nice bittersharp hops, cream, bittersweet, lingering herbal.
Thin, slightly sweet, bigger abv, strong lingering pith & cotton mouth.
Okay.

Where the rates at? Single from Appalachian, no date. Pint glass at home. Quick cascade, clear, dark caramel, thin oatmeal head. Soft oak smoke & cola sweet nose. Soft & supple. Maple-y & borderline smokey barley, thin cereal sweetness, light char on the tail. Thin, slight acid, lingering faint astringency. Surprisingly good.

From a pint can. Pours an opaque plum with no head. Aromas of cherry cheese cake. Flavors are slightly tart with lots of fruit sweetness.
