Description
Founded by Karan Bilmoria in 1989. The beer was initially brewed at Mysore Breweries in India but, from 1996, was brewed under contract in the UK by Charles Wells. The company went into administration in 2009 and the business was acquired by a joint venture company owned 50.1% by Molson Coors and 49.9% by Karan Bilmoria. Since then the majority of the beer has been brewed at Molson Coors UK’s Burton brewery but the company also has production facilities in Patna, India.

Big bottle in my favourite curry house in Hertford. I've lost count how many of these I have had in the past, but this is my first rate of it. When you are enjoying good company and good food the beer is of lesser importance, although this was a perfect accompaniment to both. Cold and crisp with a soft mouthfeel that nicely partnered the tandoori mixed grill. It's never going to set the world on fire (although the aftermath of my wife's jalfrezi may do that to her this morning) but it is a solid beer that I enjoyed.
