Brewery Announcement:
We are more-than-excited to announce the addition of our 5bbl Brewhouse in Alexandria, VA. Cabinet Artisanal Brewhouse is located in the same building as the former Shenandoah Brewery, just outside of Washington, D.C.
Terry Hawbaker, a 7 year veteran of Bullfrog Brewing, is our Brewmaster. With our special house yeast, will be focusing on making “primitive field” beers in our urban farmhouse brewery. A field beer can be defined as a grisettes, saisons, traditional lambics, etc… Terry has always had a fondness for reinventing European-style Farmhouse ales. Terry is by no means a traditional brewer, and he thrives by mixing up new and old brewing techniques. Barrel aging is certainly in the works, as this is an area where Terry has produced some of his most successful beers.

Draft. A hazy light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of spices among them black pepper, combined with notes of yeast. The flavor is sweet iwth notes of mlat, yeast, black pepper, and fruit, leading to a tart finish.

CBC. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and rather hoppy - grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 110512

Draft. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of vanilla, camomille, lemons, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, camomille, lemons, and hay, leading to a dry, spicy, and bitter finish.

Draft. A golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and grass. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops and medium notes of malt, leading to a very bitter finish.

Draft. A dark brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and alcohol. The flavor has notes of roasted malt and alcohol, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

CBC. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light tart. Flavor is medium sweet, light acidic and moderate salty. Dry and moderate salty finish. This should be moved to traditional ale with the other goses. 110512

CBC. Unclear brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - pine and grass. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 110512

Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty slightly citric aroma. Fruity malty light salty citric sour flavor with hoppy hints. has a fruity malty slightly salty citric finish.

On tap at CBC, Copenhagen. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is crisp and dry. Light sourness with an amazing gooseberry taste. A little citrus and then a dry sharp finish. Lovely fruity beer.
