Bottle at home (18 months out of date !) Has a vague aroma of coffee, cream and some roast malts. Pours a dark reddish brown with a generous (but transient) frothy cream head. Initial taste is fruity, then some coffee and liquorice all with a smooth velvet texture. Finish is fruity too, damsons and blackberries. I like this.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2019. Cask @ Leeds Station Wetherspoon, Leeds. Dark copper with a creamy head. It's mildly sweetened with a malty bitterness and a malty nose.

Cask, third, shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Coast To Coast Bar. Misty golden body, filmy layer, clingy lacing. Floral aromas, moderate. Ripe citrus flavours followed by a drying end with fruity bitterness. Satisfying. (Day 3 of the festival, 24.01.2020).
