Hammerton Brewery is a microbrewery based in Islington brewing small batch beers with the aim to bring great tasting beer back to the borough and also re-establish the Hammerton Brewery name in London.

Hammerton Brewery originally began brewing in London in 1868. Sadly it ceased to brew in the late 1950s and was later demolished. In 2014, a member of the Hammerton family decided to resurrect the family name in brewing. It also brings brewing back to Islington, a London borough with a great beer making heritage.

On tap at Brew York Beer Hall. Black beer lasting tan head. well I have waited long times for a beer but 34 minutes I think is a record. Fruity dark cherry flavour. dark chocolate. some juiciness. not much cake. light cream. very good dark red fruit. good though. worth a 34 minute wait? nope. I liked it though.

Cask at the Swan, Holborn. Pours dark gold with a small head. Aroma is pine, caramel and mango. Taste has straw to start and a light piney mango finish.

Deep brown beer, thin head. Proper fudge-y aroma with rich chocolate. Taste has sweet chocolate up front, fudge, a little toastiness with the malt, some coffee too. Rich and smooth and super tasty.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Draft. A pink beer with a thin pinkish head. The aroma has notes of red berries, straw, and a bit of funk. The flavor is a bit sour with notes of unripe berries, funk, and a bit of straw, leading to a dry finish.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Murky peach color. Tropical fruits, a bit soapy, lacto, yogurt, tart. Pretty nice.

On tap at The Tap House Deal . Black beer lasting tan head. Even just sitting there I can smell chocolate cake. A rich chocolate cake of a beer. very impressive. chocolate cake with chocolate icing. completely ridiculous beer. like liquidised chocolate cake with chocolate icing loved it. loved it loved it.

330ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, big peanut butter and walnuts. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, liqourice, nutty, peanut butter, lactose palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.
