Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 24/05/10. Deep amber with a moderate off-white head. Caramel malts and floral hop aroma. sweetish malt flavour, with a touch of milk chocolate and decent bitter finish. Ok.

From cask at Charlies. Pours dark brown with a golden orange glare and a small tan head. Aroma is rather fruity and somewhat roasted malt. Flavour starts fruity with a distinct breadish malt base mixed with dark liqourice notes. Bitter, fruity and dark malty finish. Rather dry and bitter lasting impression. Slight acidic.

Cask (handpump) @ The York, 82 Islington High St, Islington, London, Greater London England N1 8EQ.Clear medium brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, light coffee, light yeasty, sewer, keller. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100102]

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A chestnut brown beer with a thin, dense, and lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of nuts and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and a bit of butterscotch, leading to a dry finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue lightly.

On gravity at the Tuckers Maltings Beer festival, Newton Abbot 23/04/10. Dark brown in colour. Malty cereal flavour and aroma with a touch of caramel, leading to a bitter finish. Dull.

Bottle 500ml.Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, molasses, earth, honey, straw notes. Cask handpull at Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Gold, thick lasting head. Decent golden ale, some citrus hop, bit of lemon/tangerine. Smooth in mouth. I mean sparklers what can you do? Bit of yeast on aroma, good in mouth, good finish. Better than average, but still very samey to beers in this style.
