Just two mates having a crack at every possible beer they can conceive. Unapologetically bold and uncompromising in their quest for full flavour and quality.

Can. Unclear gold, frothy white head. Aroma of somewhat biscuity bread dough, spiced oak, gentle floral notes. Dangerously drinkable. Luscious bready and biscuity malt, moderate bitterness, quite a bit oak but the floral and spicy hops fight back. Perhaps gets a little sweet as it warms, but really very good.

Can. Almost black with a large tan head that never quite disappears. Aroma has nectarines and pine above roast and caramel biscuit. Only medium bodied. More biscuit than roast with lots of stone fruit, some citrus and pine before a moderately bitter finish. A slightly more genteel Where Strides the Behemoth. Cracking.

500mL can, pours a mostly clear golden orange with a medium white head. Nose is quite malty and yet still has plenty of resinous hops, orange peel, a touch of pine, and caramel malt backbone. Flavour is full of big resinous hops, pine, orange rinds, and caramel malt. Big malts support the generous hop bill. Excellent.

Can. Well out of date, seems to have been released in September (as you'd guess). Clear amber with a near white head. A few chunks at the last. Aroma of caramel, grass, bread, some spices. Rich and malty with only hints of being quite so much stronger than a normal Märzen. Bitterness grips discretely with some spices. Good.

Can. Clear amber, a cm of white head. Interesting aroma with tropical sherbet, pine, oranges and breadcrust. Then peppery pine drives the show with breadcrust support and firm bitterness. The tropical notes are there too - do they fit? Not entirely convinced.

Can. Nearly black, light tan head. Mocha aroma, roasty, singed caramel. So it tastes. A bit weedy at the dryish, moderately bitter end. Tasty enough but strong for what it offers.

From a 375ml can on 13/11/2024. Pours a deep brown with a small to medium head. The nose is sweet and malty with Belgian yeast, bourbon, chocolate and spices. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, rye bread, and Belgian yeast with a spicy, bourbony, boozy finish. Full bodied with modest carbonation. An enjoyable and well made big sipper.

From a 500ml can on 16/10/2024. Pours an ever so slightly hazy with a biggish head. The nose is sharp with tropical and citrus notes. It tastes quite sweet up front with strawberry, pineapple, pear and white, finishes with a crisp lemony bitterness that balances the beer out nicely. Silky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Very enjoyable.
