Keg at Wright Bros. Brew & Brew - Austin. Pours deep brown with a creamy, light tan head. The nose holds milky chocolate, light roast, hints of coffee. Medium sweet with more milk chocolate, light earthy bitterness, milky coffee, toasted malts, faint caramel, chocolate syrup. Light to medium bodied with smooth, massaging texture. Creamy and chocolatey on the finish, with impressions of bitter coffee, light roasted beans, vanilla, faint molasses, more milk chocolate. Really solid overall. Nicely layered.

Pale gold color, some head in a 6 oz glass. Aroma is floral with light bready grain. The flavor is light citrus and floral hops left over from the dry hopping. The body is on the light side but it does end clean. Drinkable lawn mower beer.

Draft at the source. Copper color, thin head in the sample glass. Aroma is light caramelized sugar, weak toffee. The flavor is lightly toasted grain. Body is ridiculously thin for 5.8 %. No bready malt character or body. No malt or yeast chewiness. Sorry but this is not an English ESB. Countless ESB’s destroy this recipe. Sub par.

Draft at the source. Clear gold with lots of carbonation. Belgian yeast and weak grainy hints. Flavor is light honey like malt, yeast is real weak in the back end. Body is light with a watery texture. I understand it is hot in Austin but something with a little more flavor helps. 4.5 % ABV

Light Amber color with lasting head. Aroma is Mosaic or Equinox hops (green onion, scallion or grassy hint).

The flavor is a carbon copy of the aroma. Again the trend this the lower ABV session ales is to be light yet that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice body or a malt backbone. Bitterness is low with lingering grass.
