50cl bottle bought in Hartney Wintney. Hazy straw with a billowing white head; weisbier style yeasty aroma; similar flavour with a hint of banana; the finish is dry and lightly spicy. More a Weisbier than a Golden Ale, but very drinkable nonetheless.

(Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 4 Aug 2010) Golden colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Fruity nose with citrus, grass, hay and floral hops. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, lemon, honey and grassy, floral hops. Light body with balanced sweetness. A bit thin but fairly tasty and sessionable.

Cask handpump at GBBF, Trade Day 03-08-10 Pours pale gold with white bubbling head. This is quite a shock after all of those US hoppy beers in that its back to the wonderful simpleness of a UK cask beer. There is a soft sweetness, some citrus on the nose and in the mouth, easy going and jolly tasty. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Bright gold with a dense cream head; faint citrus aroma; sweet and grainy with a light citrus flavour; a touch of grapefruit to finish. Rather heavily bodied for the style, but very light on flavour. Disappointing.
