[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A bright amber pour with a thin cream head; orangey citrus aroma; citrus taste and sharply bitter; with a medicinal aftertaste. Strange.

Half-pint, cask ale, at Castle Tap. Shared with Finn. Clear warm golden body, scattered lacing from a film-type layer. Smell of grassy hops. Fresh ripe fruity hops to the taste buds, herbal hops and peaches. Moderate bitter to the ending. Easy to drink. Satisfying. (Reading 20.10.2019).

500ml bottle: BB 8th Apr 2020. Drank at home on 23rd Sep 2019. Mahogany coloured body, slight haze; on top a beige blanket of foam. Toffee nose and flavours, semi-sweet and malty from start to finish, mild hop bitterness for balance.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Syrupy citrus aroma. A dull brownie gold. Bubbly white head. Light-medium medium bitter (edging towards the latter). Quinine. Some underlying sugar. An edge of citrus. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long dry very astringent finish. For me this is a typical IPA from an old school brewer, they've just dumped in the hops and there's no nuance just predominant bitternes.

20th Aug 2019, Shrewsbury monthly share at Chez Sophie. Cheers to me for the evenings 'cobweb', we take it turns bringing an 'out of date beer' tonight was my turn. 275ml bottle BB Aug 2018, so only 12 months out of date (or cellared for 24 months, you chose). It poured clean and clear, a light golden colour, the head a white affair. Bland and boring, even aged! Some grassy esters and a mild sweetness in the taste, but not much going on really.

275ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 19, thanks Jeremy for this year out-of-date find. Lightly misty gold appearance, frothy white head. Light honey-like sweetness coming through, herbal bitterness, honey sweet malt. Bit boring, but fine.
