75cl Bottle @ home, shared with Dutchdrebus and Thompson. Thanks Thompson for sharing. Nice dark amber color, white head. Smells malty, sweet, hints of bitter. Taste some bitterness, malts, some sweetness and caramel. Nice carbo, medium body.

Bouteille 75cl @ 7ième fête de la bière Namuroise. Cuivrée, col épais beige. Arôme fruité caramel, pomme api, fruits noirs, sirop pomme et poire. Une bière type scotch qui reste légère pour ces 8%, fruitée et caramel avec des notes liquoreuses, fruits noirs allant vers la date et la figue, sur la fin je note une fraicheur de vanille et touche de levure. Une fine amertume se dégage mais la bière reste dans le style scotch.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of peaches, orange and spicy hints of coriander. Fruity, slightly spicy taste with apricots, citrus and a spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Well balanced and quite tasty.

Dark amber to brown color; medium sized creamy head. Reasonable body strength, but overall it’s an unimpressive Strong Ale, with some caramel and a light vegetables touch. Boring.

Reliable burgundy-amber body and a solid foamy yeasty head. Aroma is both sugary and spicy, smells a bit like soda pop, malt and barnyard funk with a hint of fruitiness. Taste is a mix of meat and alcohol, if sampled at the right time it’s almost like a cola flavour. Sweet barley, essentially. Lacks complexity and excitement - I want crazy stuff for winter ales, and this is just average.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. Moderate malty and light hopy and nice yeasty aroma. Prune and fruity notes. Moderate bitter nice flaor. Chocolate notes. Average moderate bitter nice finish. Oily palate.

Very good, fluffy, light yellow head over coppery golden beer, lively carbonated. Concentrated fruitester as in Turkish fruit or suikermuisjes; dusty apples and glue. Sweet, fruity flavour, dried apples, and, essentialy ester-flavoured candy, dissolved in sparkling water. Oppressive MF, syrupiness camouflaged by the fizzy over-carbonation. In danger of corrupting my prime principle... as expected from this source.

Bottled@PBF2010. Golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, earth, some grains and mild notes of spices. Flavour is quite much the same in a very nice balance. Quite nice stuff.

Hazy deep orange color, small steady white head. A bit peppery-fruity aroma. White peppery, tart, bready flavor. Medium-bodied. Decent saison, still ok after 4 yrs. Thanks Andre for saving this over four Petalax Beer Festivals.
