Description
Along the road to Nismes, a stone's throw from Mariembourg, a peculiar building with a copy of a windmill is visible. It was the showcase of a disco that was turned into a brewery by Frédéric Adant in 1998.

At the Brasserie des Fagnes, we brew around 50 different beers per year. Our brews and beers offered for tasting may change according to the seasons. More fruity in spring, light and refreshing in summer, rather amber in autumn with more body and taste, finally more alcoholic in winter with a tendency towards strong browns ... Yes, there is something for everyone's taste at the Brasserie des Fagnes! Some of its beers are only available at the Brasserie des Fagnes. After brewing, fermentation and aging in the tank, they are transferred to storage tanks which are directly connected to the flow pumps in the tasting room.

Tight white foamy white on a highly carbonated clear amber body. Herbal, grain, malt & yeasty aroma. Medium bodied, foamy & smooth on the tongue with a sharp & sticky back. Malt, syrup, herbal, citrus & sweet tastes with a bitter pithy finish. That's decent.

Good and stable pinkish head over cleare metallic copper beer; lace. Artificial nose with citruspeel, sucade, sugared ginger. (Regular) hops struggling with the citrus. Clashing instead of blending, tasting as pour-in. Quite slick, almost viscous. Medium carbonation, medium bodied. In this of all beers, they are going to overhop? Seriously, they seem unable to do anything right. Thanks to Stef!

23/XI/21 - 33cl bottle, shared @ HoReCa Expo (Gent), BB: 22/IX/23 (2021-1479) Thanks to the Ghent beer posse for sharing today’s beers!

Clear deep reddish orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very aromatic, lots of artificial flavourings, orange flavoured popsicle, candy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of oranges, orange peel, lots of (artificial) aromatics, slightly sweet, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: orange peel, slightly sourish, nice bitterness, decent stuff although a bit too artificial.
