Description
Along the road to Nismes, a stone's throw from Mariembourg, a peculiar building with a copy of a windmill is visible. It was the showcase of a disco that was turned into a brewery by Frédéric Adant in 1998.

At the Brasserie des Fagnes, we brew around 50 different beers per year. Our brews and beers offered for tasting may change according to the seasons. More fruity in spring, light and refreshing in summer, rather amber in autumn with more body and taste, finally more alcoholic in winter with a tendency towards strong browns ... Yes, there is something for everyone's taste at the Brasserie des Fagnes! Some of its beers are only available at the Brasserie des Fagnes. After brewing, fermentation and aging in the tank, they are transferred to storage tanks which are directly connected to the flow pumps in the tasting room.

Darker head than the Blonde, less intense aroma, more malt in the mouth, not as impressed but still a good beer

Nice thick white head, with aroma of spices coming out clearly. Beautiful tastes of curacao (orange peels), and confectionary sugar, and a nice smooth bitterness...very nice beer

Water-blond colour, white head. It has a very intruiging aroma. The flavour is very amusing: spicy, warm, lemon, ... A very fine beer.

An orange unclear beer with a fine head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, and yeasty. The flavor is carbonated prickling the tongue, sweet, slightly bitter and yeasty in the end. It is powerful to start off but a little thin in the middle.

An unclear orange-brown beer with a great head. The aroma is stong, sweet, alcoholic with notes of anise, orange and other spices. The flavor is boring after the powerful aroma, it is slightly smoked, with a good maltblend and extremely sweet with very little hops to balance it off - though it has a dryness of wood and moss.

Rather sweet in nose and mouth - not sugars but as from liquorice. Very little head and very estery. Spices, as typical for Wallonian brewers. Probably still very young when tasted.

Beautiful golden color; creamy head. The aroma shows signs of age. The body structure is good, the flavor is quite sweet, smooth, with some stale signs of age. It doesn’t feel like 10 years old, but still it’s going downhill.

Gold colour, giant rocky head, a real Belgian lace. Strong hop aroma, old flowers, a little spicy. Good body, elegant waves of sweetness and dryness, malt and hop, coriander. Dry and bitter finish, with good dry hop.

Dark color; creamy head. A good malt and chocolate beer, with low bitterness, and light signs of oxidisation. Quite good still.

Deep amber colour, generous and thick head, misty, turbulent perlage. Wonderful aroma, fresh, malty, porto wine notes, analogies with a barley wine aroma. Good malty body, less strong that the strength may suggest, good balance and good palate, not too much aromatic.
