BB 07/2002 Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, geringe feine beige Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, reife Früchte, leicht muffig, leicht oxidiert. Geschmack sehr weich, viel Karamell, Vanille, süß röstmalzig, gering hopfig, richtig gut!

Old bottle, best before 07.04. Smooth malty nose. The beer starts malty-fresh, hints of smoke. Dry malt, hints of roast, fresh. Dry with still malty sweetness. Full malty body with a rich, smooth taste. The malty dryness gets a nice robust contrast to the sweetish malt. Nice bitterness, smooth, easy to drink, nice.

*Old rating, best before 12.2010. Mild-weiches, leicht süßlich wässriges Pils mit schön herber Note. Nicht zu tief, würzig-herb mit etwas zu dünnem Körper. Nett.

*Old rating, best before 18.12.04. Sehr leckeres Cola-Bier. Zwar schon sehr süß, aber die Cola harmoniert mit einer ganz leichten Altbier-Malzigkeit, die sich aber doch recht im Hintergrund hält. Der Nachgeschmack ist Cola-süß mit einem ganz leichten Altbier-Malz.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Clear dark amber/light brown with an off-white head. Malty, very slightly smoked, aroma with some caramel. Taste is semi-bitter and the body is thin but fitting for the style.

Can at home; present from my mates Hardy & Elsa. Pours dark amber to copper, clear, with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, some roasty notes, a little metallic. Taste is a slightly sweet, slightly bitter, a bit watery. Bitter and astringent finish. Thin bodied.

Geruch leicht süßlich-brotig, aber hauptsächlich schön nach Altbier. Der Antrunk ist wässrig und leicht süßlich. Der Hauptteil bleibt durchgehend wässrig, die süßliche Alkoholfrei-Note wird deutlicher, gegen Ende tritt auch eine leichte Herbe zu Tage. Der Nachgeschmack ist trocken, malzig-herb und kaum noch süß. Erst hier schmeckt es wirklich nach Altbier. Langanhaltend herb.

Helder bruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet, lichte rooksmaar met sporen van caramel. Blijft redelijk lang hangen, erg goed bier.
