Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'toom', best before June 2018. Clear, dark reddish brown with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Slightly sweetish, a little grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, straw and some nuts. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, fairly dry, slightly grassy-spicy and a bit watery taste of caramel, nuts and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, dry and slightly grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay!

Ein deutscher Altbier-Klassiker mit leicht bräunlicher Färbung. Dazu ein recht flachem Geschmack. Aufgrund der hohen Drinkability und des leicht hopfigen Geschmack im Malzbad lässt es sich aber sehr angenehm trinken. Aufgrund der Bekannteit sollte man es einmal probieren, aber der Geschmack ist jetzt nicht außergewöhnlich.
