Awesome dunkel - maybe among the better I’ve had. Pours orange-maroon with only a little head and lacing. Nice barley malt profile - beautiful in fact. Crisp bitter finish with notes of caramelized malt and a little roast. Great. On tap at Get Well.

A hazed blonde with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of banana cake with smooth peated malt, wood and light bourbon. In mouth, a sweet banana candy with bourbon and oak, interesting.

Not great for style. Pours cloudy blond with ok head and lacing. Overdose on barrel here. The barrel really overtakes the style - doesn’t seem like the right style to barrel age. Finishes like a decent hefeweizen with some sourness and yeast. Average carbonation. Tap at Session.

This stout poured a deep black colour with next to no head. Growler purchased from the brewery. Scents include smoke, cereal and coffee. First swig was a little watery but very good. Smoke flavours most predominant with light grain flavor following. Finish is really smokey with burnt flavours lingering. Would have been better fresh from the tap and not from the growler 3 days old. I don’t think the growlers hold the carbonation very well, maybe a consume within 2 days instead of 5?

This APA poured a clear light yellow colour with a big, bright white head. Scents include spruce, grass and citrus herb. Light vanilla and ripe fruit too. First sip was quite hoppy with flavours of pineapple and grass. Medium bitter finish with hopps lingering.

A beautiful reddish brown bock with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a lightly peated caramel malt, roasty and nice. In mouth, a nice smooth caramel with dark fruits, lightly peaty, goes well with the candied bacon served with it. On tap at Beers 4 Boobs, April 7 2013.
