Can, 0.5l. Goft From a friend. Clear golden pour, one finger soapy white head, medium retention. Broken lacing on the glass. Generic nose, sweet and malry with some grassy hints in the background. Light body, soft to medium carbonation. Watery mouthfeel and texture. Watery bittersweet taste, more on the sweet side. Weak aroma, malt, grains, corn, grass. Somewhat sugary. No finish to speak of. Quite generic overall, but hey! It's the famous beer of Mauritius. :)

Bottle brought from Mauritius - thank you, Mr Wig! Pours clear pale golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish malts of malt and yeast. Estery and bitter aftertaste. Well, a regular pale lager, but refreshing on a summer’s day, and a valuable country tick. Thank you, Mr Wig, for this gem!

Bottle shared by explosivedog: pours clear with a whitish head. Aroma is vegetable, grain. Bleh. Taste is sweet, no hoppiness. Not good.

Eine Art Bockbier von der Insel Mauritius, allerdings kein wirklich gutes. Es wurde mit Zuckergestreckt und so der Alkoholgehalt künstlich erhöht. Geschmacklich fehlen mir die feinen Aromen nach Trockenfrüchten oder Gewürzen; es ist einfach nur klebrig-süß. Da sind mir leichte Strandbiere noch lieber.
