Bottle enjoyed without a glass at Kenzi Bar, Flic en Flac. I imagine it’s clear golden etc etc. just a plain lager really, nothing bad. TBH I’m enjoying it more than the bad local IPA.

Bottle at a bar in Flic en Flak, Mauritius. For a start it’s better than the IPA. Not great, but better. Definitely very malty with a subdued hop character.

First beer tick upon arrival to Mauritius at a bar in Flik en Flak. But sadly, it does disappoint! A bit of a nasty green weedy, resinous and malt character, that if done right could have been ok. As far as this one goes, I’m glad I chose the small pour.

Backlog February 2009. Pale golden body under a small, disappearing white head. Aroma is not very pleasant, harsh and almost like puke. Taste is sweet, harsh and unbalanced bitter with a watery body and unpleasant aftertaste as well. One of the worst beer I have ever tasted.

0.33 l can, canned in June 2025. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty aroma of grains and some straw. Gently sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly metallic finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Typical macro pale lager, nothing to write home about.
