[Cask at The Falcon (JDW), High Wycombe] Amber-chestnut colour with a moderate creamy head. Nice frothy initial mouthfeel ultimately turns out to be on th thin side. There’s a hint of coffee in the roasted malt aroma. It develops on tasting into caramel with a little blackberry in the finish. Grew on me.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a brown body under a small, off-white head. The aroma has nuts and dried fruits, some citrusy hops too. Flavorwise it’s much the same, toffee, nuts, dried fruits and citrus. And of course some bitterness. Medium body. Not a very exiting one, but it drinks quite easily. 110129

Cask handpul at Hope Spoons Reading. Clear pale gold colour with thin off white head. Its an ok golden ale with some softish citrus hops on the end. Some sting on finish. Nothing wrong with it nothing jars. Its fine. Slightly better than average uk golden ale.

Handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon 15.04.11 with Peter (ex Pitstop brewer) and owner of this new pub Pours dark amber with a white head, in fact this looks marvellous. As the description states this has quite an old fashioned taste about this however its very flavoursome in a very earthy and rustic way. I enjoyed this very much. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Light, red-gold pour with a fine, white head. Lovely hop aroma citrus and pine. Pretty sweet flavor, quite fruity, lots of melon, some grapefruit and pineapple. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Smooth finish, hoppy but not sharply, sweet but not very, some grass and melon. Alright, not super amazing.

[Cask at the William Robert Loosley (JDW), High Wycombe] Deep gold, cream head. A bit of fruit, a hint of spice, and some grassiness. Nice full mouthfeel. It’s pleasant enough, but a bit of a mish mash - not sure Loddon quite knew where they were going with this one?

[Cask at Back of Beyong (JDW), Reading] Light amber, moderate white head. Some bitterness at first but gets sweeter as you drink more, with first grapefruit then vanilla and peach coming through in the rich creamy moutfeel. Good stuff, thoroughly enjoyed it!
