Could this be even better than previous years when this IPA was winning national awards? The nose is very fresh citrus and tropical hops with sweet malt. A dense, thick off-white head sits on a soft amber body. The taste leads with a collage of fresh hops - juicy citrus flavours like grapefruit, lemon and orange mixed with mango and a touch of resinous pine in the back of the mouth. There are ample bready malts to support the hops and a hint of pepper to set it all off. There is a long, bitter finish that is nevertheless refreshing and clean. The body is substantial without being too rich for the style.

Draft at the brewpub on 12th August 2025, shared with Lee Ann (a Canadian friend). Hazed pink look, light blush wispy covering for a head. Tart and semi sour taste with raspberries coming through loud and clear.

On a flight at the brewpub on 12th August 2025. Almost clear golden body, white wispy topping. Fruity and bitter from start to finish, more hoppy than malty, late piney/earthy flavour compliment the fruitiness.

Part of a flight at the brewpub on 12th August 2025. Clean amber body, off white crown. Malty with an earthy hop bite, light citrus flavours arrive late on. Nice take on an English ESB.

Share draft pint at the brewpub on 12th August 2025. Opaque dull lemon body, white head for a short while. Strange animal really, herbal, grassy aroma and a salty flavour, not too sure what the brewer was trying to do here, but it didn't float anybody's boat in our party of six (I had the most, because I'm greedy).

Part of a flight at the brewpub on 12th August 2025. Clear golden body, white crown. Piney, citrus notes in both the nose and taste, nice blend with a solid malty base. Easy drinking, citrus fruits come to the fore as it warms.

On tap at Devil's Elbow. Pours cleae gold with a white head. Lots of pine and resins on the nose. Flavour has tons of pine and bitter resins. I wouldn't have necessarily guessed that this is a bitter, it's well-done regardless.

473ml can. Pours a clear orange gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Fruity aroma of grainy pale malt, orange, mango, apricot and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light to medium body with a slick texture and average carbonation. Clean, juicy and easy to drink.
