A deep clear reddish brown doppelbock with a thick moka head. Nice aroma of burned caramel, dark fruits, light soya sauce, some notes of rusted iron and signs of oxidation. In mouth, a nice sweet intense treacle, molasses, bananas, roasted coffee, lightly oily, This bottle is more than a year old (BB 12-07-08) but still hold on strong. Bought at Maruhn, Nov. 2007.

50cl bottle @ Flensburg, Germany. Pours a pale yellow with a creamy white foam. Very grainy and grassy. Dry taste with a fine bitterness. Crisp. Medium bodied. Fine.

Bottle. It pours a clear, ruby to brown body, topped by a minimal beige head. Dried fruits, caramel, some coffee, a little alcohol and hops, and a faint note of cellar and oxidation in the aroma. The flavor also has dried fruits up front, then a little oxidation shows up, along with caramel and roasted malt, some hops and a touch of coffee. Full-bodied and sweetish, slightly warming. Sweet, roasted finish. A pleasant one, the oxidation is pleasant, and it’s pleasantly warming. (090228)

Mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma was sweet with roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and rye bread. Flavour was sweet with plenty of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, rye bread overripe fruits. Finished sweet.

50 cL, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Dry wheaty and mild spiced aroma. Estery dry flavoured with a light wheaty base flavour. Mild acidic towards the finish. Estery finish and mild yeasty.

Bottled(500ml). -Cloudy yellow/golden coloured, medium to big white head, dusty nose with some spicy hints. Wheaty, yeasty and honeyish apple taste with notes of spices and cloves. Also some notes of caramel in the sweet finish. Ok weizen.
