Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, dried fruit and dark fruits. The aroma did not really follow through to the taste and was a bit thin. Slightly dry bitter finish.

Cask at Egham Beer Fest 24. Aroma is chocolatey wd creamy. Dark. Positively stygian. Frothy blotchy foamy light beige head. Sour berries and light coffee. Berry edge. Underlying dull malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. The aroma promises more than it ultimately delivers. Bland.

Pours a murky light brown colour with a small, thin, and bubbly, near white head. Aroma is fruity, orange, apricot, passionfruit, with some resiny notes. A moderately sweet and fruity taste, apricot, orange, passionfruit, resiny pine hoppy flavours with a bittersweet hoppy bitterness.

Typical uninteresting Red Ale. Only tried it because it was a new brewery to me

Cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Amber brown and clear with a ring of reddish-beige head. Not much on the nose: a good bit of malt and a little berry. Taste is sweet with some fleeting malt, changing to sharp citrus and berry nearer the finish. The chewy malt is strongest in the aftertaste. Body's pretty watery but that's okay. A very basic red beer but certainly enjoyable enough.
