Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.
From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.
Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

A deep dark black ipa with a thick frothy lacing brown head. In aroma, light bitter chocolate with coffee grind, floral hops, grapefruit pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice.

tap - Clear, gold pour. It smells of grainy, bready malt. The flavor is of grainy malt and moderately bitter hops. Light to medium bodied. Decent at best.

Tasting at SF
Black color. Aroma of dark bread, light chocolate; the body is dry and weak, hints of chocolate and red wine.
Barrel aging a weak dry Stout is a weird idea.

750ml bottle shared at Brian’s office. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt with some grainy notes. Same taste, with some sour notes and quite high roasted malt bitterness. Meh.

Dark brown. Only a little bit of head. A little bit toasty, with some cocoa notes. Thin and more or less chocolatey. A little vinous character, touch of wood, but that’s really about it. I’m not thinking this has the complexity I’d like to see - really the beer came out okay but conceptually it needed to be a stronger beer.

355mL can, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal notes, boiled cabbage and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with herbal notes, boiled cabbage, and biscuity notes. Useless vegetable-dominated beer. Very bad.
