Fra fat på The Craft Beer Company Covent Garden: uklar lys gylden med fint skum som varer. Grapefrukt, furunåler og noe floralt. Slank og lettdrikkelig men akk så uspennende.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Quite a hazy dull gold with thin white top. Some fruitiness with notes of mango, clementine and a mineral water background. Near mid-bodied and semi-drying. Very drinkable if a touch standard.

Cask from The Wellington, Birmingham, Mid-August. Not normally a big fan of mango flavoured pales but this was a new brewery tick for me. Hazy orange, small white head. There is a slight leafy hop notable but as expected the mango dominates everything and has a slightly green underripe funky tone to it. Not for me.

Cask at the Colmore, Brummy vice Cotts Bimble, 03/08/24. Murky orange topped with an off white head. Nose is mellow citric flesh, straw, grains, light breads. Taste comprises orange peel, melon, bread dough, pale malts. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. A flat feel about this one ... condition doesn't help.

Cask at the colemore mini cotts day out. A dull brownish orange coloured pour with a lasting creamy white head. Aroma is sweaty hop, grass, stale grains,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dirty grains, sweaty green apple, grassy tangy hop, spicy. Palate is semi sweet z tangy, moderate carbonation. A bit fucked.

Cask at Wellington, Brum. Aroma has sweet stone fruit with a bitter edge. An unattractive hazy loose bowels gold. Thin foamy translucent white head develops a bald spot. Initial sweetness...actually it's not just Initial,.this beer.has sugary tinned fruit sweetness throughout. A peripheral source. Quinine bitterness makes an appearance into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice if not inspiring. Although it does put more effort in than it's namesake and his teammates are currently doing.
