Description
The Company’s long history began in Medan in 1929 with the establishment of NV Nederlandsch-Indische Bierbrouwerijen. The first brewery was located in Surabaya and officially began commercial operations on 21 November 1931. In 1936, the Company relocated its domicile from Medan to Surabaya, Heineken became the major shareholder of the Company and the Company’s name was changed to N.V. Heineken's Nederlandsch-Indische Bierbrouweerijen Maatschappij. In 1951, the the name of the Company changed again, to Heineken's Indonesische Bierbrouwerijen Maatschappij NV.
In 1957 the Indonesian Government appropriated the brewery, and retained control for the next ten years. In 1967 Heineken resumed operations of the brewery, which was later renamed "Multi Bintang Indonesia". In 1972 the brewery in Tangerang, West Java was built. In 2014, Multi Bintang passed another milestone by building a new state-of-the-art plant for non-alcoholic beverages in Sampangagung, East Java.

Big bottle from Morrison's. Clear and gold with a weak white head. Sweet aroma of cheap lager, flavour is very sweet too. Syrupy, not good

620ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a small white head that disappears in a couple of seconds. Aroma is white bread, cereal. Taste is light sweet, straw, water, metal, light bitterness. Thin and watery body. Pretty bad.

Bottle from Thai supermarket in Prenton. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - caramel and light biscuits. Taste - more caramel biscuits. Some citrus. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - so so.

[8/17] Bottle. Gold with a white head that fades a bit. Aroma of hay, cardboard, weeds. Thin, fizzy. Sugary but not that sweet, just rather empty where you expect malt. Clean enough I guess with weedy bitterness that’s at least distinct. [4.3] [7/25] More convincing fresh in situ or just things taste better on holidays? Plain but sound enough.

Bottle (thanks juks). Pours yellow. Aroma is sweet, fake lemon, fairy. Flavor is very sweet, sugar, fake lemon, soap. Overall: nah.
